Anyways, got down the box early tonight and managed to squeeze in 2 sets of 5 Bench at 115kg before the usual met-con. Bar went off track again on rep 4, and went back down to the bottom, but managed to get it off my chest from scratch and still squeeze out another rep. I’ve been struggling with the bench itself as it’s quite high so I have to put blocks either side to keep my feet planted. Better get used to it for now as it’s the only option!
Met-con today was perfect for me:
20 power cleans at 70kg, 30 press-ups, 15 hang power cleans, 30 pull-ups, 10 squat cleans – all finished in 6:57, first to finish so felt great for once!
Got some frequency work in today despite being out all day with the kids! Trying to get back into the habit of this as it I found it really helped with my Bench and Weighted Chins. Got 6 sets of 20 done throughout the day, so will aim for 7 tomorrow – I felt there may have been 25, but didn’t want to overdo it as it’s been a while!
Didn’t go to the gym as doing a Met-Con at CrossFit tomorrow and I’m hooking up with an old friend on Weds at his gym where I hope to squeeze in an extra strength session before the usual Saturday.
